Where is Zaragoza and how to get there?
Zaragoza is located in the northeastern Spain, approximately 300 km away from Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Bilbao. You can easily reach Zaragoza by plane, train, bus or car.
Once you are in Zaragoza, you can reach the venues easily by tram or city bus. The city bus (line 40) leaves you just next to the venue and if your prefer coming by tram or other buses (lines 35 and 42), these leave you nearby the venue. You can also rent a city bike, come by foot or take a taxi (+34 976 38 38 38 / +34 976 75 75 75).
The Edificio Seminario, the former Metropolitan Seminary of Zaragoza, was opened only two years ago as a modern Administrative Center of the City Council of Zaragoza. This is the single, largest restoration project carried out by the city and it has allowed to concentrate all municipal services into a single, modern center.

Few Tips
- The top three hotels we would like to stay in Zaragoza would be Hotel Hiberus, Hotel Alfonso and Hotel Sauce.
- The Apartahotel Los Girasoles is the apartment hotel we’re always recommended.
- For low-cost accommodation, check out www.airbnb.com. Moreover, there are quite a few hostels (hostales, albergues) in Zaragoza.
- If you are coming with a zero budget, check if someone has a comfortable sofa to offer to you at the CouchSurfingNetwork.
Stay for the Fiestas del Pilar! (October 6-14)
This year we have organized the Zentyal Summit to end when the Fiestas del Pilar, annual festivity of the city of Zaragoza, start. Therefore we most wholeheartedly recommend you to stay over the weekend, or even longer. Take a look at the program – Zentyal Team will guide you to the best spots to enjoy this single, largest festivity of the year!
Rent a bike
It is every time more and more comfortable to move around in Zaragoza with a bike. If you are used to bike in your city, we recommend you to rent a Bizi – Three-day pass costs only 5€ and gives you plenty of freedom to move around. Just remember to be careful!
Wi-Fi
There will be a wireless Internet connection in the Summit venue. Moreover, a large number of bars, cafeterias and hotels offer free Wi-Fi for their customers, so getting connected anywhere in the city shouldn’t be a major problem.
What to drink & eat
The local beer is Ambar. The most appreciated local wines come from vineyards located in Somontano, Campo de Borja, Calatayud and Cariñena. For non-alcoholic drink, we recommend you to try grape juice (mosto).
Our favorite appetizer (tapas) bars in Zaragoza offer local air-dried ham (Jamón de Teruel), different types of cheese, Spanish omelet (tortilla de patata), croquette (croquetas), deep fried squid rings (calamares fritos) and a large variety of canapés (montaditos). The most popular appetizer bars are located in El Tubo area, comprised of the following streets: 4 de Agosto, Mártires, Libertad, Ossau, Cinegio, Estébanes, Blasón Aragonés, Pino and Plaza Sas.
Few of the traditional dishes would include young lamb’s meat (ternasco), lentil soup (lentejas), Spanish migas (migas) or fried eggs with potatoes (huevos rotos) – These you can get from most of the restaurants. If you’re looking for a nice, fancy place for a dinner, we would recommend Bal d’Onsera (making a reservation is probably a good idea).
For dessert, snack or breakfast, you should definitely try chocolate with churros (chocolate con churros). One of the best places to taste this delicious goody would be the Chocolatería Valor (Address: Plaza Sas, 7).
Bus, tram & taxi
At the moment a large part of the city center is affected by tram construction work and the usual bus, tram and taxi routes are somewhat altered. However, public transport in Zaragoza is rather inexpensive and well organized. Check out the routes and timetables at the TUZSA website.
Going out
As in any self-respecting Spanish city, there are bars, pubs and clubs for every taste in Zaragoza. The three most popular nightlife areas in the city center are Casco Viejo (both sides of the street Alfonso I), La Zona (streets Francisco Vitoria, Leon XIII, General Sueiro and surroundings) and San Miguel (street San Miguel and surroundings).
